Things will get better when you are ready

Things will get better when you are ready

The other evening, I was sitting outside, scrolling through my phone, feeling like I was just going through the motions. Nothing was wrong, but nothing felt particularly right either. Then my neighbor's kid started practicing trumpet in his garage. He was terrible, honestly but he played with such complete, unashamed commitment that I put my phone down and just listened. It wasn't about the music. It was about watching someone be fully in something. And right there, it hit me: the opposite of depression isn't happiness- it's engagement

Life gets more interesting and less depressing when we are passionate about something, because passion is the very thing that pulls the soul out of its comfortable slumber. It turns a boring empty Monday into a canvas of possibility and a dreaded afternoon into a race against time.

It’s in that pursuit, whether it’s a craft, a cause, or a person that we find the energy we thought we’d lost, the voice we forgot we had, and the drive to see the sun rise not as a chore, but as an opportunity.

Passion is the antidote to the numbness of routine; it whispers to you in the quiet hours that you are more than your obligations, more than your fears, and it challenges the grey, shapeless days to stand against something vivid and alive.

So if you feel the weight of this world pressing down, don't look for a reason to be happy, look for a reason to be alive, to chase something that makes you forget the clock is ticking. That is where you will find your meaning, your community, and ultimately, yourself, transforming the struggle from simple survival into a story worth telling
